背面描述	A patriarchal cross — a cross with two horizontal bars — occupies the central field, with a small star or pellet ornament at each of the four ends of the crossbars. The letter B (beta) appears in the upper right quadrant of the cross, serving as a mint or denominational mark; the corresponding letter in the upper left quadrant is obscured by die wear or flan weakness. The overall design is characteristic of late Byzantine billon trachea and tornese coinage of the Palaiologan period.
