Obverse description Crowned facing bust of King Fernando I within the inner field, the monarch depicted in a stylized Gothic manner wearing a crown with floral finials. The mint mark letters (C-V or D-V depending on variety) appear flanking the bust in the field. A circular Latin legend surrounds the effigy, bordered by a beaded inner ring and an irregular flan edge characteristic of hammered medieval coinage. The overall style is typical of 14th-century Iberian billon issues, with low relief and variable die alignment.
