| Beschrijving voorzijde | The obverse field is entirely occupied by a bold, multi-line nastaliq calligraphic legend reading 'السلطان ابن السلطان فتحعلی شاه قاجار' (The Sultan, Son of the Sultan, Fath-Ali Shah Qajar), executed in a deeply struck, flowing style characteristic of early Qajar hammered coinage. The inscription fills the central field within a raised linear border, itself enclosed by a prominent outer beaded border following the irregular periphery of the flan. Delicate floral and foliate flourishes in the nastaliq tradition embellish the interstitial spaces between the letterforms. The overall composition conveys the dynastic authority of Fath-Ali Shah through the grandeur of the calligraphic design rather than a royal portrait. |

| Beschrijving keerzijde | The reverse displays a multi-line nastaliq calligraphic legend recording the mint and regnal year, reading 'ضرب دارالدوله کرمان شهان سنه ۱۲۳۳' (Struck at the Seat of Government, Kermanshah, Year 1233), deeply impressed into the gold flan. The inscription is arranged across three principal lines, with characteristic nastaliq ligatures and diacritical dots clearly visible. As on the obverse, a raised linear inner border and an outer beaded border frame the field, conforming to the coin's irregularly shaped flan. Subtle floral arabesque decorations accent the field around the lettering. The overall design is consistent with the calligraphic coinage tradition of the Qajar provincial mint at Kermanshah. |
