Obverse description The obverse features a strategic map of the Scheldt estuary region in relief, depicting the multi-directional Allied assault during the Battle of the Scheldt (2 October – 3 November 1944). Military hardware including bomber aircraft, amphibious landing craft, and tanks are shown attacking from air, sea, and land, with directional arrows across the map. In the lower field, four circular roundels bear the national emblems of Canada, the United Kingdom, the United States, and a fourth Allied nation. The curved legend arcs across the upper field.
