| Obverse description | Round brass token with a central square hole, in the style of traditional East Asian cash coins. Four large raised Kanji characters are arranged around the central hole in the four quadrants of the field, reading clockwise from the top: 福 (fortune), 出 (birth/emergence), 德 (virtue), 生 (life/birth). |
