Reverse description Central device features a quartered heraldic shield displaying fleurs-de-lis of France in quarters 1 and 4, and the ermine field of Brittany in quarters 2 and 3, surmounted by a royal crown and supported by two branches. The date 1987 appears to either side of the crown, with the original jetton date 1788 incorporated into the circular legend. A small pointing-hand mintmark (corne) appears at lower left, and the C.F.A. issuer mark at lower right. The rim bears a continuous beaded border.
