| Obverse description | The gilt field features a composite design of Austrian landmarks in relief: the Vienna Prater Ferris wheel and the Grossglockner mountain in the upper register, the Belvedere Palace in the lower register, and Schloss Ambras in the centre background. Two silver-toned applied medallions flank the central field, the left depicting the exterior of Schloss Ambras with the legend REPUBLIK ÖSTERREICH and dated 2002, the right depicting figures in the Spanish Hall interior.
