Obverse description Two conjoined busts in high relief facing slightly left occupy the central field: on the left, Rt. Rev. Msgr. E.J. Flanagan (Founder, 1917–1948), wearing spectacles, and on the right, Rt. Rev. Msgr. N.H. Wegner (Director since 1948). A circular legend arcs around the upper rim reading FIFTY YEARS OF GUIDING YOUTH, with the dates 1917 and 1967 flanking the busts along the sides, and BOYS TOWN NEBRASKA along the lower border, all within a beaded inner border.
