| Obverse description | The octagonal field displays the coat of arms of the city of Sens in high relief: a shield bearing three fleurs-de-lis in chief and a crenellated tower above a gateway in base, flanked by additional fleurs-de-lis. The shield is surmounted by a scroll ribbon bearing the Latin legend and is surrounded by a wreath of laurel and oak branches. The engraver's signature DUBOIS appears at the lower left of the field. |
