Reverse description The reverse displays a faithful relief reproduction of a colonial Spanish 8 Reales macuquina-style coin of Ferdinand VI, featuring the crowned royal arms of Castile and León at center, surrounded by the legend 'FERDINANDUS VI D G HISPAN ET IND REX' with mint mark 'J' and denomination '8' flanking the shield. The outer field bears the circular legend 'REPUBLICA DE CHILE' at top and 'CASA DE MONEDA' at bottom, all within a border of raised beads.
