| Obverse description | St. Rupert, patron saint of Salzburg, is depicted enthroned in full pontifical vestments, holding a salt box in his right hand and a crozier in his left. Beneath the figure is an oval shield bearing the quartered arms of Archbishop Wolf Dietrich von Raitenau: quarters 1 and 2 display the arms of the Salzburg Archbishopric; quarters 3 and 6 bear the arms of the Meier zu Reitnau family; quarters 4 and 5 show the arms of the Lords of Eschenz in Thurgau; surmounting the shield is the personal escutcheon of the Wolf Dietrich family. The Latin legend arcs around the periphery of the field. |

| Reverse description | A large tower, symbolizing steadfast faith and resilience, is depicted amid turbulent seas, buffeted by the four winds and driving rain, an emblematic impresa device. The date 1593 appears below in Roman numerals within the circumferential legend. The Latin motto RESISTIT IMMOTA encircles the design, expressing the tower's immovable resistance to the elements. |
