Obverse description Draped and armored bust of Victor II Frederick, Prince of Anhalt-Bernburg, facing right, with curled wig. The prince is depicted in military attire with a gorget at the throat and a lace cravat visible beneath. A circular Latin legend surrounds the effigy, reading V. FRID. D. G. P. A. DVX. S. A. &. W. C. ASC. D. B. &. S., abbreviating his full titles as Prince of Anhalt, Duke of Saxony, Angria and Westphalia, Count of Ascania, Lord of Bernburg and Zerbst. The portrait is rendered in a baroque court style typical of mid-18th century German coinage.
