| 正面描述 | Draped bust of Victor II Frederick facing right, with loosely curled hair falling to the neck and a ribbon tie visible at the shoulder. The effigy is rendered in a baroque style with fine detail in the hair and drapery. A continuous Latin legend encircles the portrait along the rim, reading the ruler's titles and territorial designations. The field is smooth and unadorned save for the portrait itself. |

Anhalt-Bernburg was a tiny Saxon principality with virtually no military significance during the Seven Years' War, yet its ruling house was obligated to contribute troops and funds to the broader imperial and allied war effort. Victor II Frederick struck fractional thaler coinage in 1758 partly to meet these fiscal obligations — small silver denominations circulated more practically among soldiers and tradesmen than larger issues. Mann 629b is a die variety within a short-lived wartime series, and surviving examples in any grade above heavily worn are genuinely uncommon.
