Reverse description Full-length figure of a Swiss Confederation soldier (Eidgenosse) standing facing, dressed in traditional slashed doublet and breeches, holding a long sword with its point resting on a low pedestal at his feet and his left hand placed on his hip. His broad-brimmed hat is adorned with two prominent feathers, the distinctive feature that gives this type its name. The motto legend DOMINUS PROVIDEBIT arcs around the upper field, and the date appears in the exergue below the pedestal. The figure is executed in fine engraved relief within a reeded border.
