Obverse description Crowned and armored bust of Matthias II facing right, depicted with a short beard and wearing an elaborate ruffled collar and royal mantle adorned with decorative chains and insignia. The crown is a detailed imperial-style crown with cross finial. The effigy is rendered in high relief with fine engraving characteristic of early 17th-century Habsburg coinage. A beaded inner circle frames the portrait, with the circular Latin legend reading MATTHIAS·II·D·G·HVNGARI·ET·BOHEMI·REX running along the outer border.
