| Beschrijving keerzijde | Central field displays a large, boldly rendered Imperial double-headed eagle with wings spread, both heads facing outward and crowned with a single arch crown above, rendered in the late Renaissance heraldic style characteristic of mid-sixteenth-century Swiss city coinage. The eagle's talons are prominently detailed and the plumage is finely struck with overlapping feathers across the body and wings. The field is plain, with the eagle occupying nearly the full diameter of the inner circle defined by a rope border. The circumferential Latin legend DOMINE*CONSERVA*NOS*IN*PACE* ('Lord, preserve us in peace') runs between the inner rope border and the outer rope-beaded rim, punctuated by rosette stops. |
