| Description de l’avers | Draped bust of John George II, Prince of Anhalt-Dessau, facing right, wearing a voluminous long-haired wig rendered in flowing, finely engraved curls in the late Baroque manner. The effigy occupies the majority of the field, truncated at the shoulder with a suggestion of armour or drapery. A beaded inner border frames the design, and the Latin legend runs along the outer periphery reading IOH GEORG D G PR ANH C A D S E B, identifying the prince by name and titles. |

| Description du revers | The quartered arms of Anhalt displayed on an ornate baroque shield surmounted by a princely crown, incorporating charges including the bear of Anhalt, the eagle, the Saxon barry field, and the chequered field of Ascania, with a smaller escutcheon at the centre base bearing additional heraldic devices. The fraction mark 2/3 appears prominently at the base of the shield flanked by the date split 16–76, and the mintmaster's initials F·C are placed in the left field. The encircling Latin legend MONETA NOVA ARGENTEA with the value indicator V reads around the periphery, the whole framed by a beaded inner border. |
