Reverse description Crowned square shield bearing the quartered royal arms of Great Britain and Hanover, surmounted by an arched crown with visible cross and fleur-de-lis finials. The four quarters display the arms of England (lions passant), France (fleurs-de-lis), Ireland (harp), and Hanover (horses and crowns), divided by a plain cross. The denomination ⅙ appears in an oval cartouche below the shield, with the date split across the upper legend on either side of the crown. The surrounding legend, punctuated by ornamental stops, names the issuer's titles and confirms the silver content.
