Obverse description Armored and draped bust of Elector Frederick III facing right, wearing a long flowing wig with voluminous curls characteristic of the late Baroque period. The effigy is depicted in elaborate plate armor with decorative detailing visible at the shoulder and chest. The circumferential Latin legend reads FRIDER·III·D.G·M·B·S·R·I·A-C & EL., abbreviated titles identifying him as Elector of Brandenburg and Arch-Chancellor of the Holy Roman Empire. The portrait is rendered in high relief with fine engraving detail, consistent with the medallic style of late 17th-century Brandenburg coinage.
