正面描述 Bare-headed right-facing bust of Frederick II (Frederick the Great), King of Prussia, rendered in the Baroque portrait style with elaborately curled and flowing hair tied at the nape. The king's features are depicted in sharp profile with a prominent nose and angular jaw. The circumferential Latin legend FRIDERICVS BORVSSORVM REX (Frederick, King of the Prussians) runs along the upper periphery, separated from the bust by a fine dentilated border.

附加信息

The 1763 date places this coin in the final year of the Seven Years' War, a conflict that had left Prussian finances in ruins. Frederick financed the war partly through systematic debasement — reducing silver content across multiple denominations while maintaining face values, a policy executed under the direction of Ephraim & Sons, the Jewish banking house that held the Prussian mint lease from 1758. The coins produced under this arrangement became notorious enough that "Ephraimiten" entered the vernacular as a contemptuous synonym for debased coinage.

The .521 fineness reflects the tail end of that debasement period, struck just as the Peace of Hubertusburg was being negotiated.
