| Obverse description | Bare-headed bust of Friedrich August III, Elector of Saxony, facing right, with his hair dressed in the late Baroque fashion and gathered into a queue with curled locks falling to the shoulder. The portrait is rendered in a refined neoclassical style with fine detail in the hair and facial features. The circumferential Latin legend reads FRID : AUGUST : D : G : DUX SAX : ELECTOR, identifying the ruler as Duke of Saxony and Elector by the grace of God. The field is smooth and unadorned, with a fine toothed border running along the coin's rim. |

| Reverse description | Central device consists of the crowned Saxon arms — the barry of ten or and sable with a crancelin vert — enclosed within an oval cartouche and surmounted by an Electoral bonnet. The shield is flanked by two symmetrical laurel branches tied at the base, forming a wreath frame. The date is divided on either side of the lower wreath junction, with the mint master's initials IEC and the denomination fraction 1/3 appearing in the exergue below. The circumferential legend XL EINE FEINE MARCK indicates the coin's fineness standard, denoting forty pieces to the fine mark of silver. |
