| 正面描述 | Central device comprising the oval arms of Saxony — barry of ten or and sable with a bend of crancelin — displayed on a shield set within an elaborate foliate and palm branch wreath. The shield is surmounted by a royal crown with arched bands and orb finial. The field is plain and unlettered, giving the design a clean, medallic character consistent with its pattern status. |

Frederick August I received his royal title in December 1806 as a direct reward from Napoleon, who elevated Saxony from an electorate to a kingdom following the Prussian collapse at Jena-Auerstedt. This pattern almost certainly belongs to the flurry of trial pieces struck to establish new royal coinage imagery in the weeks immediately following that elevation — the existing electoral coinage suddenly obsolete by political fiat.
AKS 34 is documented as a pattern only; no regular issue of this denomination under the royal title for this year entered circulation.
