| Obverse description | Right-facing draped bust of Francis I, Holy Roman Emperor, depicted in elaborate period costume with armored pauldron and richly ornamented mantle, his long curling wig rendered in high relief in the Baroque manner. The portrait is bold and finely engraved, occupying the majority of the obverse field. A beaded inner border frames the design, with the Latin legend disposed around the periphery beginning at the lower left and continuing clockwise. |

The eagle holds a sword in its right talon and an orb in its left. The mint mark letters K-B appear in the lower field beneath the eagle's tail.
