| Obverse description | Central field occupied by a crowned ornate coat of arms of Palatinate-Birkenfeld-Zweibrücken, surmounted by a princely crown with beaded arch. The quartered shield displays the characteristic heraldic devices of the duchy, including fleurs-de-lis and other armorial charges. The escutcheon is flanked by elaborate foliate and floral mantling, with leafy sprays extending to the lower field.
