Obverse description Draped bust of Elector Charles Theodore facing right, wearing a lace cravat and period court dress with flowing drapery. The hair is elaborately curled in the Baroque fashion. The circular legend surrounding the effigy reads D·G·CAR·THEODOR·C·P·R·S·R·I·AT·ELECT, identifying the ruler by name and title. The portrait is rendered in high relief in the Baroque court style. A beaded border runs along the coin's rim.
