| Reverse description | Central oval cartouche bearing the arms of Jülich-Berg — a cross surmounting a globe set upon a stepped base — enclosed within an ornate baroque scrollwork frame and topped by an electoral princely crown. The date 1717 is divided on either side of the cartouche within the decorative surround, with the mintmark N (for Düsseldorf) visible at the base. The peripheral Latin legend C. V. S. M ET R. D. I. R. B. I. C. ET M. D. P. M. records the ruler's titles as Duke of Jülich, Berg, Count of Ravensberg, and Margrave of Bergen op Zoom. The denomination mark ⅙ appears at the bottom of the reverse field. |
