| Reverse description | The central field presents a five-line inscription denoting the coin's fineness and denomination: CLXXX EIN PFUND FEIN, indicating 180 coins to one pound fine silver per the Vereinsthaler standard, followed by the fractional denomination 6 EINEN THALER, the date of issue, and the Berlin Mint mark A. Flanking the central inscription on either side is a laurel branch, the two branches tied together at the base with a ribbon bow, forming a wreath open at the top. The entire device is contained within a plain raised border. |

Alexander Charles ruled Anhalt-Bernburg for over four decades but died without legitimate issue in 1863, extinguishing the Bernburg line entirely. The duchy was absorbed by Anhalt-Dessau-Köthen, and this small thaler fraction — struck in the final two years of his reign — represents some of the last coinage produced before that consolidation permanently ended Bernburg's independent monetary history.
