The lion is rendered in fine detail with a flowing mane, set against a plain field on a ground line of fine stippling. A circular Latin legend surrounds the device, reading REPUBLICAE TIGURINAE above and *MONETA* below, separated by small rosette stops. The whole is enclosed within a finely milled border. |

| Beschrijving keerzijde | The reverse presents a tablet-style design with the four-line Latin motto IUSTITIA / ET / CONCORDIA and the date 1716 inscribed in bold, well-spaced lettering within the field. The inscription is framed by an elegant wreath composed of intertwined olive and oak branches, tied at the base with a ribbon bow, with the branches crossing and spreading outward at the top.
