Obverse description Cross arrangement of four armorial shields representing member states of the Franconian Circle, set within ornamental cartouches. The central intersection of the cross bears the date 1693 in the field. The uppermost shield is surmounted by a royal crown and displays a rampant lion, while the remaining three shields bear the arms of other Franconian territories. Cypher-like monograms occupy the diagonal fields between the shields. The entire design is contained within a plain inner circle with a milled border.

Reverse description Plain field bearing a bold five-line inscription in Roman capital letters across the centre of the coin, reading DES / FRANCKISCHEN / CRAISES 2/3 STVCК, denoting the two-thirds Thaler denomination of the Franconian Circle. Below the inscription, a decorative spray of two oak or laurel branches fans outward symmetrically from the base, with the mintmaster's initials G·E·N· positioned in the exergue between the branches. The rim is defined by a reeded border consistent with the obverse.
