正面描述 Central shield bearing the arms of Colmar — a diagonal mace or sceptre between two addorsed cornucopiae — supported within an ornate cartouche, with the denomination numeral 60 displayed in a small oval cartouche at the base of the shield. The circular Latin legend reads around the full perimeter, separated by ornamental stops, within a rope-beaded inner border and a milled outer rim.

附加信息

Colmar's municipal coinage authority was effectively a holdover from the city's status as a Free Imperial City within the Holy Roman Empire — a status that became legally ambiguous after France absorbed Alsace under the Treaty of Westphalia in 1648. These thalers were struck across nearly four decades while Colmar navigated that jurisdictional grey zone, maintaining the forms of imperial civic coinage even as French administrative control tightened around it. Louis XIV's reunification policies of the 1680s further eroded the city's autonomy, yet the mint continued operating.

The extended date range of 1667–1705 suggests multiple dies and likely several distinct emission periods rather than continuous production.
