| 裏面の説明 | Plain round field surrounding a central square perforation, with no legend or decorative border. A small raised dot appears to the left of the square hole and a crescent-shaped mark to the right, serving as mint or die differentiation symbols. The surface is flat and unornamented, consistent with cast zinc cash coinage of the Đàng Trong lords, and exhibits a granular, heavily patinated texture across the entire field. |

Nguyễn Phúc Trú ruled Đàng Trong as the fourth lord from 1725 until his death in 1738, presiding over a southern polity that remained technically subordinate to the Lê emperors in the north while operating in near-total autonomy. The Thái Bình Thông Bảo issues of this period reflect a zinc-heavy coinage policy driven by chronic copper shortages across both Đàng Trong and Đàng Ngoài — a problem that plagued Vietnamese minting throughout the eighteenth century. Zinc cash coins from this lordship circulated alongside Chinese imports and were frequently debased further by private casting.
