| Obverse description | Lightly draped bust of Hera facing front, turned very slightly to the right, her hair bound in a diadem of pearls with the ends hanging loosely on either side of the neck. Triple-pendant earrings adorn each ear, rendered with fine detail characteristic of the Hellenistic engravers' art. The goddess's facial features are modelled in a naturalistic style, with a serene expression befitting the divine patroness of Chalkis. The field is plain, with no surrounding legend on the obverse. |

| Reverse description | A warship galley prow oriented to the right occupies the central field, depicted in fine detail with the ram, catheads, oar-ports, and the characteristic curved aphlaston (stern ornament) rising prominently above. The prow rests on a stylised wave pattern rendered along the lower hull, conveying the maritime heritage of Chalkis as a major Euboian naval city. The ethnic ΧΑΛΚΙ is inscribed above the prow in Greek letters, while the magistrate's name ΣΩΣΙΠΑ appears below, both legends flanking the central device in the field. |
