| Obverse description | Griffin seated left in high relief, the body rendered with bold, sculptural modelling characteristic of Abderite coinage. The creature raises its right foreleg in a alert, heraldic posture, with its eagle's beak and swept-back wings clearly articulated. A small floral or star ornament is visible in the upper left field. The design is contained within a plain incuse border, filling the flan with considerable artistic confidence. |
