| Reverse description | Stag standing to right, rendered in profile with naturalistic detail, the name of the magistrate Athenes inscribed across the field in two lines. The entire design is contained within a shallow incuse square, a hallmark of early Thracian coinage from Abdera. The inscription identifies the eponymous magistrate responsible for the coin issue, following the standard civic coinage practice of the city. |
