This deeply punched incuse punch arrangement is characteristic of early Archaic Greek hammered coinage from the northern Aegean region, reflecting the primitive yet functional technique employed by the mint of Therma during the late sixth and early fifth centuries BC.

附加信息	Therma was an ancient Macedonian coastal city at the head of the Thermaic Gulf — the same body of water that would later take its name from the city before Thessaloniki displaced it entirely following Cassander's refounding in 316 BC. The city's coinage from this early archaic period is exceptionally rare, placing it among the more obscure northern Aegean minting authorities of the fifth century. SNG ANS 761 remains the principal reference point, with very few examples traceable in public collections.
