| Obverse description | Helmeted head of Athena facing right, rendered in fine archaic-to-classical Greek style. The goddess wears a crested Attic helmet adorned with a laurel wreath, the crest rising prominently above the bowl and flowing back in relief. Visible beneath the helmet's cheekpiece is a decorative serpent, a common Athenian iconographic element.
