Obverse description Forepart of a bull presented in three-quarter view to the left, with the head turned back sharply to the right in characteristic Akanthian style. The animal is rendered with considerable plasticity, featuring well-defined musculature and prominent horns curving outward. The field above the bull's back bears the partial Greek inscription ΠΕ, likely an abbreviated magistrate's or mint official's name. The entire design is contained within a fine beaded border. The engraving reflects the accomplished archaic-to-classical tradition of northern Greek coinage.
