Obverse description Bare male head facing right, rendered in the archaic-to-early Classical Greek style, with finely detailed short wavy hair arranged in neat locks across the scalp and falling behind the neck. The facial features are modelled with naturalistic precision, including a well-defined eye, straight nose, and subtly parted lips. The neck is truncated at the base, and the field surrounding the portrait is plain and unlettered. The overall style is consistent with Chalcidian mint production of the early fifth century BC.
