| Obverse description | Radiate or laureate, draped and cuirassed bust of Emperor Gordian III facing right, rendered in three-quarter view from the front. The imperial effigy displays finely detailed drapery and cuirass, consistent with the provincial workshop style of Moesia Inferior. The encircling Greek legend names the emperor with his full titulature. The portrait exhibits the youthful features characteristic of Gordian III's coinage. |
