| Descrizione del dritto | Laureate, draped, and cuirassed bust of Emperor Caracalla facing right, rendered in the provincial style typical of Moesian civic coinage. The portrait displays a youthful effigy with a radiate laurel wreath, the paludamentum visible at the shoulder over the cuirass. The Greek obverse legend encircles the bust, identifying the emperor by his imperial titulature. The die engraving exhibits the robust, slightly coarse style characteristic of the Nicopolis ad Istrum mint during the Severan period. |

| Descrizione del rovescio | Tyche standing left, wearing a kalathos (modius) upon her head, holding a ship's rudder in her right hand and a cornucopia in her left hand, symbolising the fortune and prosperity of the city. The figure is rendered in the conventional provincial iconographic tradition, with drapery falling in stylised folds. The reverse field is plain, and the encircling Greek legend names the presiding consular legate and the issuing city of Nicopolis ad Istrum. |
