Description de l’avers	Nude youth riding a horse to the right, rendered in vigorous relief characteristic of late fifth-century Sicilian bronze coinage. The rider's hair is curled and his body is depicted in a lively, dynamic posture with outstretched arms. Beneath the horse's hooves, a ground line is indicated by a row of four pellets, serving simultaneously as value marks denoting the tetras denomination. The composition is compact and fills the flan effectively, with the field otherwise plain.

Description du revers	Nike, the winged goddess of victory, striding to the left in three-quarter view, her large spread wings prominently displayed behind her draped figure. She holds a wreath or fillet in her extended left hand and a palm branch or similar attribute in her right, rendered in the fine Sicilian engraving tradition of the late fifth century BC. The ethnic inscription HIMERAION appears in the field in retrograde Greek characters, identifying the issuing city of Himera. The figure's garments are rendered with delicate incised folds, and the overall composition is enclosed within the irregular hammered flan.
