| Beschrijving keerzijde | Highly stylised Celtic horseman riding left, derived from the Philip II reverse type but thoroughly abstracted into a series of geometric and curvilinear elements. The horse's body and legs are reduced to schematic lines and curves, while the rider is barely distinguishable as a separate figure. The Greek pseudo-inscription ΠΛΛΛΛ appears above the horse, with IOI before, and an annulet behind, all rendered in a degraded imitation of Greek lettering characteristic of the Zigzackgruppe series. The overall composition fills the flan with energetic, rhythmic forms typical of Eastern Celtic die-cutting. |
