| Reverse description | A prancing horse standing left atop a rectangular pedestal or postament, rendered in a stylized Celtic manner derived from the Macedonian tetradrachm reverse tradition. Above the horse's back is a seated or hovering rider figure reduced to a schematic helmet or head form, flanked by a crescent above. The horse's mane is depicted with fan-like striations, and its legs are adorned with pellets and curvilinear ornamental appendages. A large annulet with pellet appears before the horse's chest, and further pellet-and-curl motifs decorate the field, characteristic of the Dacian Banat 'Y auf Postament' series. |
