| Obverse description | Bust of Vologases I facing left, depicted with a short curly beard and wearing a tiara or mural crown adorned with rows of pellets or beads, characteristic of Parthian royal portraiture. The king's hair falls in long locks behind the ear, and the facial features are rendered in a bold, slightly stylized Parthian artistic manner. The neck and upper torso are visible, with the effigy occupying the central field. No legible legend appears on the obverse, consistent with later Parthian tetradrachm issues from Seleucia on the Tigris. |
