Obverse description Bust of Vologases I facing left, depicted with a short curly beard and wearing a tiara or mural crown adorned with rows of pellets or beads, characteristic of Parthian royal portraiture. The king's hair falls in long locks behind the ear, and the facial features are rendered in a bold, slightly stylized Parthian artistic manner. The neck and upper torso are visible, with the effigy occupying the central field. No legible legend appears on the obverse, consistent with later Parthian tetradrachm issues from Seleucia on the Tigris.

Reverse description The enthroned Arsaces I (or the dynastic Arsacid figure) seated right on a throne, receiving a bow or diadem from the god Tyche or a standing figure to the right; the scene is set within a border of dots. A Greek legend surrounds the central design in the field and exergue, reading ΒΑΣΙΛΕΩΣ ΒΑΣΙΛΕΩΝ ΑΡΣΑΚΟΥ ΕΥΕΡΓΕΤΟΥ ΔΙΚΑΙΟΥ ΕΠΙΦΑΝΟΥΣ ΦΙΛΕΛΛΗΝΟΣ, identifying the king as 'King of Kings, Arsaces, Benefactor, Just, Manifest, Philhellene.' A date in the Seleucid era appears in the exergue, rendered as ΓΞΤ (363 SE). The composition and epigraphy follow standard Parthian tetradrachm conventions for issues struck at Seleucia on the Tigris.
