Obverse description Helmeted bust of Athena Parthenos facing right, rendered in the New Style idiom derived from the Pheidian cult statue. The goddess wears an elaborate Attic helmet adorned with a palmette above the visor and a volute crest rising to the right; her hair flows in carefully articulated locks beneath the helmet's cheekpiece. The finely modelled profile displays archaic serenity, with a pronounced brow, almond-shaped eye, and delicate lips. A beaded border encircles the entire field.
