Obverse description Wreathed head of Dionysos facing right, rendered in a stylised Celtic interpretation of the original Thasian prototype. The ivy wreath is rendered with bold, rounded pellets and elongated leaves, reflecting the abstraction characteristic of Celtic die-cutting. The facial features are broadly modelled, with a prominent nose and slightly schematised eye, and the hair falls in thick, simplified locks behind the neck. The field is plain, with no legend or inscription. The overall style demonstrates the progressive barbarisation of the Hellenistic prototype by Celtic craftsmen.
