Beschrijving voorzijde Helmeted male head facing right, identified tentatively as Seleukos I, wearing an Attic-style helmet adorned with a laurel wreath, a crest decorated with a spiral pattern, and eagle-wing cheek-guards rendered in fine relief. The portrait is executed in the Hellenistic tradition, displaying strongly modeled facial features with a pronounced brow and aquiline nose. The bust truncation is plain, bearing no letters or additional symbols. The design reflects the fusion of Macedonian military iconography with the Hellenistic artistic conventions prevalent in the eastern satrapies following Alexander's conquests.

Beschrijving keerzijde A rooster, rendered in high relief, stands facing right within a plain inner field enclosed by a beaded border. The bird is depicted with meticulous detail, including a prominent crest, scaled feathering across the body, a sweeping tail curving to the left, and sturdy talons gripping the ground line. A caduceus (kerykeion) is placed upright in the left field behind the rooster, serving as a dynastic or mercantile symbol. The Greek legend ΣΩΦΥΤΟΥ is inscribed vertically to the right of the rooster, reading downward, identifying the issuing authority as Sophytes.
