| Beschrijving voorzijde | Bust of Shapur I facing right, depicted in high relief with the distinctive Sasanian korymbos (hair-globe) surmounted by a crenellated crown or mural crown. The king's beard and hair are rendered in a series of carefully arranged curls or pellets, characteristic of early Sasanian portraiture. The effigy is surrounded by a circular Inscriptional Pahlavi legend reading the royal titulature. The flan is irregular, consistent with a hammered overstrike, and portions of the undertype are faintly visible in the field. |

| Beschrijving keerzijde | Central composition depicting a Zoroastrian fire altar, rendered frontally with a stepped or columnar base, flanked by two attendant figures standing in adoration with hands raised or holding implements. The attendants are shown in Sasanian court dress. Above the altar, flames or a finial rise toward the upper field. A circular Inscriptional Pahlavi legend surrounds the design. The overall relief is worn, consistent with the overstrike technique and heavy circulation, with traces of the undertype visible at the coin's periphery. |
