| Obverse description | Bare head of the Amazon Kyme facing right, rendered in fine Hellenistic style with softly modeled features, almond-shaped eye, and parted lips. The hair is elaborately dressed in thick, wavy locks gathered at the nape and bound with a taenia (fillet), whose ends are visible above the brow. The portrait fills the flan with confident artistry, typical of the high-quality Kymaean silver coinage of the mid-second century BC. |
